Fundación Manos Abiertas

Fundación Manos Abiertas

MANOS ABIERTAS is a non- profit Foundation started in 1992 by a group of volunteers who, guided by Father Angel Rossi, began to distribute food and clothes in the locality of Villa de Mayo, Province of Buenos Aires.

Our mission is to integrally provide for low resources communities by developing educative, social and health programs with the purpose of constructing a more fair, just and supportive society.   Encouraged with the hope of a better world, we advance in the construction of communities architects of their development, strengthened by the spirit of loving and serving.

From the beginning and up to date, The Foundation supports with dedication and joy eight houses, thanks to the support of volunteers and friends.  These houses, located in the Provinces of Buenos Aires, Córdoba, Entre Rios, San Juan, Santa and Chaco are intended to alleviate the community needs.

We are an Organization inspired by the contemporary example of Mother Theresa of Calcutta and Saint Alberto Hurtado, who proposed the manifestation of love “with acts rather than words”

“MANOS ABIERTAS is a place where you can breathe a family and loving environment, where confidence, joy and hope are achieved, where people are treated not only with mercy, but with affection and respect.  Our slogan (motto) “to love and to serve” is a reality with the strength of testimony for our people and our contry” (Padre Angel J. Rossi)
